was born and raised in Northern Virginia, and graduated with honors from Virginia Tech with a B.S. in Science of Human Nutrition, Foods, and Exercise. He furthered his health and wellness education at Southern California University with a Master’s Degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, Doctorate in Chiropractic, and he later achieved his Yoga license, Functional Range Conditioning, and Dry Needling Certificate.  Dr. Su is a third generation practitioner of Oriental Medicine in his family lineage. He combines his Far Eastern philosophy & background with his Western science education to formulate a personalized plan of care that will meet your needs.  In his free time, he enjoys being with his family, greyhound, boxing, and jiu-jitsu.

Dr. Broadwin Adesegun, DPT

Physical Therapist, Beyond PT LLC

is originally from Ghana and came to Washington, D.C. at age 6.  She earned her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and Kinesiology from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2002 and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Arcadia University in 2005.  Dr. Adesegun has over 11 years of experience in successfully managing rehabilitation programs with all therapy disciplines.  She’s also experienced in women’s health, lymphedema, sports medicine, and inpatient neurological rehabilitation.  She has a passion for prevention, and one of her favorite sayings is “prehab before you rehab!”  Dr. Adesegun describes herself as “small but mighty” as she played power forward in basketball, she enjoys powerlifting, and she was known for her shot put and discus skills.  On her days off, you can find Dr. Adesegun dancing, hosting parties, and spending time with family watching movies.

Dr. Tommy Cathell DC, Dry Needling

was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA where he attended the University of Pittsburgh earning his B.S. in Psychology. He then went on to graduate with Honors from New York Chiropractic College where he earned additional certifications in Sports Injury Management and Performance and Whole Foods Nutrition, and spent the last portion of his clinical training at the VA Medical Center in Bath New York as part of the chronic pain management team. Dr. Cathell enjoys treating patients from all walks of life, but holds particular interest in treating military service members, martial artists, weightlifters, Crossfitters, hockey players, and chronic pain patients. He is certified in Dry Needling and RockTape, and is currently working towards certifications in Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS) and McKenzie MDT. In his spare time, Dr. Cathell enjoys spending time outdoors, going to the gym, reading, and practicing jiu jitsu.

is a product of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. After graduating from the University of Pittsburgh with a B.S. in Biology, he went on to pursue a doctorate in chiropractic at New York Chiropractic College. Dr. Crain has experience working with everyone from Ironman tri-athletes, division 1-baseball players, marathon runners, Crossfitters, and active individuals just trying to maintain a healthy lifestyle. As a former collegiate soccer player, and 3-year varsity high school soccer coach, Dr. Crain understands the world of sports performance and aims to translate that knowledge in the most accessible way possible for patients of all skill levels. In his free time he enjoys outdoor adventure activities and playing soccer. He is certified in RockTape level 1 & 2, a Certified Functional Strength Coach, and is an Athletic Movement Assessment practitioner.

Yueh Yee Wong, PT, DPT, CMTPT

grew up in Northern Virginia and studied Psychology at George Mason University. She furthered her education on health and wellness at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition in New York, before attaining her Doctor of Physical Therapy at the University of Miami. Dr. Wong enjoys working with patients of all ages utilizing one of her favorite techniques, Dry Needling, for painful trigger points. In her spare time, she enjoys being with her husband, two sons, and retired greyhound.

is a Korean-American, born in Fairfax, Virginia. His father, a doctor of naturopathy and an apprentice of acupuncture introduced him to Oriental medicine. He graduated from James Madison University, where he obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. He obtained a Master’s degree in Acupuncture (M.Ac.) from the acclaimed Tai Sophia Institute, the very first accredited graduate school for acupuncture in the U.S. established over 40 years ago. He went on to obtain a Doctorate in Oriental Medicine (D.O.M.) at Maryland University of Integrative Health. He has studied under many established practitioners with origins from all over the world including China, Korea, Japan, France, Russia and Italy.

The focus of his practice is helping people who struggle with various health conditions to feel better naturally and conservatively, and help discover the root causes of their health concerns.

Wanting to further her education, she attended New York Chiropractic College, finishing her clinical experience at the Rochester New York’s Veteran’s Medical Center. Dr. Pavalkis is always actively pursuing the latest research in patient centered care, in order to provide the very best possible treatments for her patients. Dr. Pavalkis enjoys spending time participating in Crossfit, as well as local road races. She is certified in RockTape, is an ACSM Exercise Physiologist, and a CrossFit Level 1 Coach.

It was during this time that he first injured his back while exercising and saw a chiropractor for the first time. His initial exposure to chiropractic showed him how this profession combined physics, sports, and education (his three main interests) into a single means in which to improve one’s quality of life. This led Dr. Elahi to go to Logan University where he earned both Doctor of Chiropractic and Master’s in Sports Science & Rehabilitation degrees with Honors. In addition, Dr. Elahi was selected for a competitive clinical rotation at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD during the last two trimesters of his doctoral program. He furthered his education by getting trained in Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization, McKenzie Method, Selective Functional Movement Assessment, Class IV Cold Laser, Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Modalities, Functional Range Release, and Dry Needling. is originally from Detroit Michigan. He attended Valparasio University studying Psychology and Human Biology. He later attended New York Chiropractic College, earning multiple honors. Dr. Schuster is always looking for new treatments and research, and thus likes to combine many healing techniques including traditional chiropractic, therapeutic massage, physical rehabilitation techniques, and exercise.

earned her B.S in Biology from the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey before attending New York Chiropractic College and, soon after, making Virginia her home. Having been adjusted since her own childhood, she became interested in the care of children. A member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association, she consistently immerses herself in the care of the entire family, from birth on. She is certified in Webster Technique for the care of her pregnant patients. She employs gentle muscle techniques with all patients in order to provide an effective and comprehensive treatment. She is bilingual, speaking Spanish.

Dr. Justina M. Dee, D.C.

was born and raised in the Adirondacks of New York. At five, she had her first Chiropractic adjustment which helped her overcome repeated lung infections and cope with her asthma. She attended the University of Vermont, receiving a B.A. in Psychology and Japanese Language and then continued her education at Palmer College of Chiropractic Florida graduating with honors. She focuses her practice on patients that need extra time, attention and gentler care, especially for those with chronic pain conditions and the elderly.  She is also Webster Technique certified.

Dr. Chris was born and raised in Northern Virginia and went to high school in McLean.  He went on to James Madison University and received a B.S. in Exercise Science and a minor in Coaching Education. He furthered his passion in exercise by becoming a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) while spending several hundred hours interning with JMU’s Strength and Conditioning staff predominantly working with the volleyball and basketball teams. Additionally, he was offered a walk-on spot to the football team as a wide receiver/athlete. During his final semester at JMU he spent time as a high school soccer coach.

Dr. Chris continued his education and received his doctorate in Chiropractic at Palmer College of Chiropractic Florida where he studied diversified, gonstead, thompson, flexion distraction, and soft tissue techniques. While in school and in private practice he has experience working on everyone from MMA fighters, collegiate and semi-pro athletes, crossfitters, weekend warriors and people who want to live a more healthy and active life.  Dr. Chris has a strong background in sports performance and injury prevention/rehabilitation and enjoys sharing this knowledge with his patients so that they too can achieve their goals.

In his free time, Dr. Chris enjoys lifting weights, running routes, catching up on the latest scientific research and reading self-help books to continually grow so that he can better serve his patients.

In her spare time, Dr. Khanita is an avid martial artist (traditional boxing and kung fu) and can be found practicing outside in her spare time or at the boxing gym.  She enjoys challenging herself in different movement patterns so she has also taken up rock climbing and barre method classes as well.
